Police arrested a man in Rishton while breaking up an illegal house party.
SEVERAL large house parties were dispersed by police in Huncoat and Rishton last night, with one man taken into custody.
Officers from Hyndburn Police's Team 5 received reports about the events in which attendees were not abiding by coronavirus regulations during last night's shift.
Police dispersed the groups and issued the hosts with fixed penalty notices.
A 27-year-old man was arrested for criminal damage to a police vehicle for painting graffiti on a police car while officers dealt with the party in Rishton.
He remains in police custody.
