A SIX-year-old boy called paramedics after the woman looking after him passed out in a drunken stupor and he couldn't wake her.
Blackburn magistrates heard when a paramedic tried to rouse Terry Addison she lashed out at him scratching his face.
The boy tried to intervene and Addison lashed out at him and started shouting abuse at him.
Addison, 32, of Maudsley Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to the boy and assaulting an emergency worker.
She was committed on bail to Burnley Crown Court to be sentenced on October 12.
Tracy Yates, prosecuting, said paramedics were called by the boy at 4.50pm. When he tried to wake her she lashed out, catching him on the face, and then tried to kick him.
"The paramedic was so concerned he activated his emergency button and took the boy outside to wait for the police," said Mrs Yates.
"When officers spoke to her she was clearly very drunk and became verbally abusive.
"She tried to headbutt a wall and then exposed herself to he officers which she thought was funny."
Mrs Yates said Addison had two previous convictions for being drunk in charge of a child.
Gareth Price, defending, said when she sobered up his client had apologised to all concerned in the incident.
"Alcohol has been a long battle for this lady although she has managed short periods of abstinence," said Mr Price.
