A man wanted by police in connection with an aggravated burglary has been arrested.
On Sunday, police issued an appeal asking for help to find Joe Morris, 24, who was being sought in connection with an incident which took place in Colne on August 12.
During the incident, the occupant of a house was allegedly assaulted and suffered a broken jaw.
On Monday, Morris, of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and remains in police custody.
At the time of the appeal, DC Andy Turner, of Burnley CID, said: “Morris is wanted in connection with an extremely serious offence and we need to speak to him urgently.
"I would advise anyone who sees Morris not to approach him but to call police straight away."
