ACCRINGTON-based Bensons for Beds has announced a new partnership with TV personality Stacey Solomon as the company rolls out a new range of mattresses.

The new Rollo by Slumberland range includes four different varieties of portable mattresses that are easy to roll up and move around.

Ms Solomon says she is looking forward to working with the company.

She said: “We all know how much difference a good night’s sleep can make to our day, I definitely do – especially with my little sleep thief, Rex!

“That’s why I’m really excited to be working with Bensons for Beds and sharing some tips along the way.”

Meanwhile managers hope that the television star, familiar to viewers from her appearances on the X Factor and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here and who has 5 million followers across her social media channels, will prove to be the ideal brand ambassador for the firm and its products.

Chief operating officer Joe Wykes said: “Stacey is one of the most popular personalities in Britain. She’s the perfect match for us and we’re thrilled to be working with her as we transform Bensons over the next few years.

“We have a great story to tell at Bensons about our expertise in sleep, British manufacturing and commitment to quality – with Stacey’s help we’re looking forward to telling that story.”

This new development comes only weeks after the firm received new financial backing, which saw £25 million investment made as part of a restricting deal and which in turn came shortly after new leadership team was unveiled in July.

The new team saw CEO Mark Jackson joined by longstanding adviser Chris Howell as new chairman alongside other key senior appointments.

The company has also taken the opportunity to emphasise its partnership with mental health charity mind and says that for every Rollo Mattress sold, £10 will be donated.
