TWO men have been charged with robbery after a man was badly beaten in his own home.
Police were called to Rockliffe Villas, Bacup, on August 7 following reports a man in his 50s had been attacked with weapons and robbed. He suffered a puncture wound to the chest and a fractured cheekbone.
Matthew Grimshaw, 37, of Fenwick Street, Burnley, and Aaron Alston, 35, of Laithe Street, Burnley, have both been charged with robbery. They are due to appear at crown court on September 18.
