A COUNCIL will resume public meetings next month using Microsoft Teams technology.

Hyndburn borough has been hosting private briefings and internal conferences virtually since lockdown started.

But unlike neighbours Blackburn with Darwen and Burnley Councils, which have used online technology with public access, it has cancelled formal meetings

He said: "We have been holding internal briefings and conferences online but not formalised meetings. They will resume next month using Microsoft Teams. It's been a question of sorting the technology out."

Cllr Marlene Haworth, leader of the council Tory group. said: "This is brilliant. I'm pleased."
