TOP achiever Fayzan Ali is moving on to his preferred Accountancy placement at the University of Manchester after gaining A*AA grades at Nelson and Colne College.
The 18-year-old, from Burnley, is formerly of Marsden Heights Community College and achieved his grades in Sociology, Business and Law.
Fayzan said: “It has been a bit of a strange time with results not having been decided this way before, but I’m relieved to have achieved what I needed to progress to the University of Manchester.
“I’m looking forward to beginning my Accountancy degree and working towards my ambition of becoming a chartered accountant or a tax specialist.
“During lockdown I have tried to keep my mind busy and I’ve been playing basketball with my brother in the garden to stay active," he said.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time at college.
"My teachers have been very supportive throughout."
