POLICE seized a motorcycle in Blackburn on Tuesday after a man had been seen riding it in an anti-social manner and on the road without insurance.

The man was stopped in the Highercroft area.

This comes as police acknowledge that off road bikes have been a cause of concern to residents in the area and officers make efforts to tackle the problem.

A police spokesperson said: “We understand as your local neighbourhood team, that off road bikes can cause a major nuisance to the local community and how much of an impact these have”

They added: “There is a current operation ongoing regarding off road bikes and we will continue to target these individuals, so please carry on reporting and we will hopefully get to the bottom of this problem.”
