WANDERERS’ pitch perfect start to pre-season has been rocked by a serious injury to Dennis Politic.
The youngster required oxygen and several minutes of treatment on the pitch towards the end of the Whites’ 6-0 victory at Loughborough University this afternoon.
Politic went down in the 80th minute after closing down a defender and was stretchered off the field. He is currently being transported back to the North West for further medical treatment.
Wanderers won the game comfortably with four first-half goals from Ali Crawford, Antoni Sarcevic, George Taft and Nathan Delfouneso.
They made several changes after the hour mark – but not before Liam Gordon and Delfouneso had extended their lead to half a dozen.
