A TEENAGER was caught carrying a knife in a park and threatened a doctor at Warrington Hospital.
The 16-year-old boy was found in possession of a kitchen knife in Sankey Valley Park during an incident in September 2019.
Then, in June this year, the youth made threats to a doctor on the hospital’s children’s ward claiming that he would smash the windows.
The teen, who cannot be named for legal reasons, then attacked a police officer who was called to the scene.
He appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 23, after admitting possession of a bladed article in a public place, threatening to destroy property, assaulting an emergency services worker and three public order offences during an earlier hearing.
And the defendant, from Warrington, was handed a 12-month youth referral order and told to pay a £21 victim surcharge.
