POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Kirkham.
We were called at 2.30pm yesterday (August 4th) to reports of a collision between a Renault SUV and a pedestrian on Freckleton Street, Kirkham, close to the junction with A583, Kirkham Bypass.
As a result of the collision the teenage pedestrian suffered serious but not life changing injuries and was treated at scene by paramedic, before being taken to Royal Preston Hospital.
The road was closed for a short period for investigation work but has since fully re-opened.
The driver and passenger of the Renault were uninjured and stopped at the scene.
Sgt 3105 Adam Dawson, from TACOPS, said: “We are working to establish the full facts of this incident and I would requests that if anyone has any information, dash cam and has not already spoken to officers they can contact us on 101, quoting log 0759 of August 4th, 2020.”
