A STOLEN digger and trailer was seized from a caravan park by Bolton police.
Officers went to the site, which has not been named, after being given details about goods that had been stolen.
They found a trailer and digger that had been taken from Salford the previous day and took them back to the owner.
Police did not state if any arrests were made.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "C Relief Neighbourhood Policing Team with assistance of the Force Tactical Aid Unit attended attended a local caravan park after receiving information concerning stolen goods.
"Patrols located a trailer and digger that had previously been stolen from the Salford area the previous evening and returned the goods to the rightful and grateful owners."
