These 14 takeaways, restaurants, and cafes in Blackburn with Darwen have been given the best possible food hygiene rating in recent inspections by the Food Standards Agency.

The establishments, 12 of which are in Blackburn and two in Darwen, received a rating of 'five' in inspections carried out between January and May this year.

This means bosses of the food businesses have complied with government standards for food safety and hygiene.

The ratings provide a basic picture of the standards of food hygiene found at the time of inspection, with all 14 establishments having achieved a good, or very good rating by inspectors.

It is the responsibility of the business to comply with food hygiene law at all times.

The food hygiene rating scheme does not provide information on the quality of the food, customer service, culinary skill, presentation or comfort.
