WELCOME to the Lancashire Telegraph Pub of the Week.

Name of the pub:
The Knuzden Tap
Address of the pub:
35b Windsor Road, Blackburn.
Landlady’s name:
Clair Brown.
Bar staff - how many and names:
Two, Ellis and Matt.
Explain the history of the pub:
Knuzden’s Cabin End pub closed in April 2019. Along with my husband Wayne, we were sad to see a community asset gone so we opened the Knuzden Tap Gin and Ale Emporium.
Is there a beer garden?
Yes
Most popular drink served is:
Lager, gin and real ale! We also have the traditional favourites such as San Miguel and John Smiths and then fridges are stocked with lots of cider.
Most memorable moment for the pub was:
Getting a mention in parliament last week by Oswaldtwistle MP Sara Britcliffe as we are a small pub. She asked what support we would be getting as opposed to the larger bars who have more space to socially distance.
Have you faced any challenges within the industry?
Covid 19 has been a challenge for everyone. As mentioned above we can’t get the maximum capacity in the bar because of the current rules.
The best thing about running a pub is…
The friends we meet.
The worst thing about running a pub is…
Not drinking with the customers, but working instead.
The perfect cure for a hangover is...
Hair of the dog.
