This is the terrifying moment a car smashes into a parked vehicle before the driver and passenger make off from the scene.
CCTV footage sent to the Lancashire Telegraph shows a car ploughing into the back of another at around 12.30am on Wednesday.
The incident took place on Mosley Street in Blackburn.
It is thought there was no-one in the parked car at the time, but the driver and passenger from the moving vehicle, believed to be a Skoda, abandoned the car further down the street before running from the crash.
A spokesperson for the police said: "We were called at 12.35am to Mosley Street in Blackburn to a collision involving two cars.
"One car has gone into a wall.
"Two people were in one of the vehicles but they made off from the scene.
"There was no-one in the other car at the time.
"No injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made."
An eye witness who did not wish to be named said: "The driver ran his car into a parked car and ran off.
"It looked like a young couple who left the car and it was all caught on CCTV."
Residents in the area have said it's only a matter of time before someone is killed on that road.
One resident said: "It's frightening - the speed of some cars coming down here is incredible. It's only a matter of time before someone is knocked over or killed."
Anyone with information about the crash should contact the police on 101 quoting log reference 40 of July 22.
