A MICHELIN-starred restaurant in Langho has launched a new virtual dining experience which staff hope will allow customers to bring fine dining recipes to their own homes.

Northcote Restaurant will be providing all the ingredients for a three-course meal along with recipes prepared by executive chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen.

Ms Goodwin hopes that budding chefs will have used the extra time on their hands that lockdown has given them wisely by honing their culinary skills.

She said: “With the nation developing its cookery skills at home over the last few months, I’m excited to be working with Wellocks at Home to help budding chefs get a taste of the fine dining experience without even leaving the house.”

Priced at £65, the dining experience will include a box of ingredients for a three-course cook-at-home dinner for two, a recipe booklet and access to a pre-recorded digital masterclass from Ms Goodwin-Allen to guide would-be chefs.

She will talk customers through techniques, tips and tricks, and share the secrets behind some of her top dishes – including the dessert that featured in TV's The Great British Menu.

The restaurant is also inviting customers to share the meals they create on social media and take part in a competition judged by Ms Goodwin-Allen herself.

The winners will receive a five-course gourmet meal from the restaurant.

Northcote has created the experience alongside Wellocks at Home, the nationwide delivery service branch of Wellocks, who supply ingredients to 45% of the UK’s Michelin-starred restaurants.

A company spokesperson said: “Standing united with our restaurant customers to help them stay afloat in such uncertain times, we’ve launched Wellocks at Home.

They added: “We’re delivering groceries to the heart of communities in this time of need and restaurants will earn money from every box bought.”

The dining experience is available to buy until 5pm on the July 23, with ingredients being delivered on July 30 and 31.
