THE emergency services were called to a crash on the A35 Totton Bypass.
The collision, which involved a car and a lorry, occurred near the junction of the A35 and Totton High Street.
Two crews from Totton and Redbridge fire stations were called to the scene of the crash.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said a woman was cut free from one of the vehicles and placed in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
The travel information service ROMANSE said one lane of the eastbound carriageway was blocked.
Delays of up to 25 minutes began to occur, with tailbacks stretching past the Rushington roundabout.
SCAS said the woman suffered only minor injuries but was taken to Southampton General Hospital as a precaution.
