OUR recent quiz about Darwen inspired by some excellent paintings of the area certainly captured the imagination of Bygones readers.
One or two of you got in touch trying to get a few clues and the fact that Darwen Library and its excellent reference section won’t reopen until next week, proved a real challenge with no-one getting all 12 answers correct.
