A large cannabis cultivation has been discovered after police arrested three men near the Dartford Crossing on Friday, July 3.

Kent Police say they stopped a white van near the crossing at around 12:30am on Friday, searching the vehicle and finding what's believed to be a large bag of cannabis.

Three men were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply at the scene.

These include one man from London, 27, and two men from Essex, aged 29 and 68.

Police said further searches of a property following the arrests then led to officers to uncovering 45 cannabis plants being grown inside a house in Essex.

Kent Police added that the three men have been released while officers carry out further enquiries.
