A POPULAR bar and live music venue in Kendal will not reopen until social distancing measures have been 'relaxed in their entirety', it has been announced.
A number of pubs, bars, cafés and restaurants across the country reopened on Saturday, with measures in place to limit the spread of coronavirus.
But in a statement pinned up outside Bootleggers on Finkle Street at the weekend, a spokesman for the venue said: "Sadly it is not viable for us to reopen until we can stage live performances and DJ nights again, and this is not possible until social distancing measures are relaxed in their entirety.
"We have no option but to remain closed for now therefore, and hope to return late summer.
"Until then, stay safe... Bootleggers."
