A MAN who got involved in a row between his partner and his ex-partner ended up with two ex-partners.

Blackburn magistrates heard that after Lucas Jack Botterill assaulted his partner she decided she wanted nothing more to do with him.

Botterill, 29, of Selous Road, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to two charges of assault.

He was remanded on bail until August 5 for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.

Sazeeda Ismail, prosecuting, said Botterill and his partner had only been living together for two weeks.

She was on his phone and when he threw his fork at her, hitting her on the shoulder, she ran out of the house.

She took his phone because it contained her SIM card and she wanted it back.

“She ran down the road but he followed her, grabbed her by the hair, and dragged her back towards the house,” said Miss Ismail.

“During the course of that he punched her twice in the face.

“She doesn’t want to be with him any longer because she is scared of what he might do to her.”

Jonathan Taylor, defending, said during the telephone conversation between his partner and ex-partner his partner was being abusive.

“He tried to intervene because he didn’t want their bickering to have an impact on him having access to his children,” said Mr Taylor.

“He accepts he lost his temper when the incident continued outside.”
