ALL roads have now reopened after a "police incident" caused major delays across the borough.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "We were called shortly after 6.20am to reports of a man on a bridge.

"Emergency services were in attendance and enaging with the man, and a number of road closures were put in place."

The Bolton News:

The incident was centred on Bradford Street, with St Peter's Way was closed between Topp Way and Raikes Lane, Bradford Street was closed from Castle Street towards the bridge, and Bridgeman Place closed from Manchester Road.

Traffic has now been released, although some congestion in the area may remain.
