MAGISTRATES have jailed a man for four weeks after he caused £1,000 of damage by smashing a window at Bury Police Station.
Only last month Adam Ellis, of no fixed address and formerly of Kestral Drive, Bury, was given a conditional discharge by the court after going on two wrecking sprees in the town, damaging Bury North MP James Daly's offices, the police station, Castle leisure centre and the probation offices.
But he admitted causing further criminal damage to police property on June 15 and was sent to prison.
Ellis, aged 34, was also ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge.
