Two vehicles with links to theft and anti-social behaviour were seized by police officers yesterday afternoon in Little Lever.

One car, a Ford Focus, was seized after it was involved in the recent thefts of York Stones.

A second vehicle found next to the Focus, a Vauxhall Corsa, was removed by police on the suspicion of it being stolen.

In a statement Greater Manchester Police said:"Officers from the Little Lever Neighbourhood Team have seized both these vehicles this afternoon.

"The Focus on the trailer has been used in recent thefts of York stones around the Bolton North area.

"The Corsa was found next to the Focus and has been seized on suspicion of it being stolen.

"The Vehicle Identification Number has been scratched off, it was displaying false registration plates and has been used in anti-social behaviour in the area."
