Crystal Palace have been dealt a further injury blow after it was confirmed Tony Craig will miss at least three months through a shoulder injury.

The left-back injured his shoulder in the 1-1 draw away at Scunthorpe United earlier this month - but after the injury refused to settle the former Millwall defender went under the knife on Monday to resolve the problem.

It was first understood that Craig would miss around three weeks after Monday's surgery, but it has now emerged that the 22-year-old will be ruled out for three months.

The news will come as a blow to boss Neil Warnock who is desperate to add numbers to his squad as he looks to guide his struggling side away from relegation danger.
