A car fire that broke out in Haslingden has sparked an investigation by firefighters.

A crew was called to the fire on Blackburn Road, Haslingden just after eight o'clock on Thursday morning.

No injuries were reported and only one engine was used to distinguish the blaze.

A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "One fire engine from Haslingden fire station was called to a car fire on Blackburn Road, Haslingden.

"Firefighters used one breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation."
