A metal pipe with huge nails attached has been recovered by police in Burnley after officers searched two men for drugs offences.
The dangerous weapon was being carried by two men on Tuesday evening, who were both stopped and searched by police in Colne Road.
The pair were then arrested over drug offences and the makeshift weapon, which police said would have "caused serious injury" if ever used, was taken away.
A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: "This evening officers from the Burnley Taskforce have arrested two males for drug offences.
"Upon carrying out searches officers have located numerous items including a weapon, as pictured below, which no doubt would've caused serious injury if used."
