THE COUNTY’S only police drone is now offline after a dangerous driver rammed a force vehicle.
While out patrolling along Blackpool Road in Preston on Monday evening, a red van caught the eye of officers after it appeared to be being driven in a dangerous way.
However, when officers asked the car to pull over, the driver failed to stop, instead ramming the police vehicle before trying to escape.
As a result, the only police drone in the county is now out of order.
A police spokesman said: “The drone team were having a leisurely drive along Blackpool Road at Preston when a red van caught their attention driving dangerously.
“Van failed to stop and rammed the police before making off and failing miserably at running away.”
A man has been arrested.
