MORE than 60 boxes of chalk have brightened up the lives of people in Haslingden.
That's because the Murray family on Rising Bridge Road have been busy for the past two weeks colouring the stone wall near their house.
Derek Murray along with wife Pamela and kids Taya (five), Tye (21) and Paige (24) have been decorating the half mile stretch on the road.
He said: "The idea came after clap for heroes two weeks ago and our little girl Taya wanted to do the drystone wall across the road. "It started off being a rainbow but we then wanted to colour it for the keyworkers.
"We have had a great response from the community and some people have even donated chalk.
"Taya has loved doing it."
