A MOTORIST is facing an appearance before magistrates after being caught doing 115mph on the M6 last night.
The incident, involving a Range Rover Sport, happened on southbound carriageway of the M6 near Charnock Richard.
A police spokesman Tweeted: "Vehicle paced at over 115mph on the southbound M6 near Charnock Richard. There is no excuse for this reckless speed. Driver reported to court.
"Anything over 100mph is a court appearance rather than a ticket at the roadside. Then it’s for the courts to decide but a ban is a very realistic outcome."
