A FURTHER ten people have died in Lancashire's hospitals after testing positive for the coronavirus, according to the latest figures.
The news deaths brings the total death toll across the county to 847.
Seven of those deaths were recorded in Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, the trust which manages to Royal Preston Hospital.
The trust has now recorded a total of 199 fatalities.
One patient died within facilities operated by Blackpool Teaching Hospitals, one at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay and another at facilities operated by the East Lancashire Hospitals Trust.
The trusts have now reported 175, 160 and 178 deaths respectively.
No deaths were recorded at Southport and Ormskirk hospitals, which has the lowest total in the county with 135 deaths.
Across the country as a whole a further 142 deaths were reported over the last 24 hours, bringing the national total to 29.400.
Of those deaths, 116 were recorded in England, 18 in Scotland and eight in Wales.
Northern Ireland reported no new deaths for the first time since mid-March.
