More online activities have been announced by Bolton Library and Museum Services in a bid to help keep people entertained at home.

Although public buildings remain closed during lockdown, a range of resources can be accessed online, from free eBooks to videos on the museum’s art collections.

There are activities for all age groups and resources to help with home schooling too.

Today the museum’s art curator will be discussing miniature Japanese sculptures and the town’s connections to the world in an audio talk.

Tomorrow the museum will be looking at a new acquisition to their collections from Sudan on their Twitter story.

Meanwhile on Thursday there will be a quiz on animals of the world. Friday will feature a live storytime with Shasha at 11am.

On Saturday visit the museum’s Twitter page to look at North American totem poles. At 11.30am on Sunday there will be a live Q+A on children’s reading.
