THE Lancashire Telegraph launched a #lockdownheroes campaign to showcase your community champions.

Each week we are shining the spotlight on those in the community who are doing a fantastic job whilst we stay at home and help fight the coronavirus.

We will be showcasing everyone on a weekly basis in the Lanashire Telegraph, in print and online so keep your nominations coming in.

Email your nominations to simone.okane@newsquest.co.uk.

Here's this week's community heroes:

Bobby and Emily Taylor nominated by Jackie Shirra

I WOULD like to nominate Bobby and Emily Taylor for bringing lots of smiles with colour to people’s faces.
Bobby and Emily from Darwen have been spending their time on arts and crafts and have made some really lovely rainbows.
The pair have been hanging them on the trees in Whitehall Park for walkers to admire.
They have also been hanging the colourful decorations around Jack’s Key Lodge where people walk and can see them.
Both of them have been delivering the hanging rainbows to friends, neighbours and key workers.
Bobby and Emily deserve to be recognised as #lockdownheroes because they are both thoughtful and kind.
They both go to Ashleigh Primary School and have been missing their friends but have had time to deliver their rainbows to them.
Thank you to both of you for making these great decorations and being great.

Nomination by Flynn Chambers and Ruby O'Kane

THANKS to the coaches at Blackburn with Darwen Acro Gymnastics club.
Since we have been in lockdown we have been doing training sessions via the Zoom app.
The coaches work and volunteer for the club buy still have the time to coach the gymnasts.
They have been regularly updating us on Facebook and Instagram so that we don't miss anything and also have brought us together.
The coaches work really hard and before lockdown helped train us to get to the National Development Plan finals competition.
It was intense and the coaches put us all through our routines and training and we all worked really hard but because they were cancelled we couldn't compete.
The club has some great coaches and volunteers and we are looking forward to going back when we can to see them and our gym family.
We are sure that everyone else in the club would wish to thank you for your hard work and dedication even during these hard times by keeping in touch and being there.
Thank you to all of you from your gymnasts. You are all #lockdownheroes.

Nomination by Jennifer Barlow

I WANT to say a huge thank you to all of the members of the Ossy Joggers team and the organisers of the Oswaldtwistle-based running club.
Organisers are currently running to keep people active and involved in exercise over the coronavirus pandemic.
They are holding virtual runs with a Facebook live warm up and a pre planned run route is made available for people to join in, whilst adhering to the social distance rules.
Zoom meetings are held weekly for all to join, with support from the club's mental health champions, who offer advice coping and anxiety and stress.
They share stress reducing techniques and make sure communication is encouraged between people.
Thank you to everyone involved.

Anonymous nomination

THANKYOU to all of the amazing people aka Blackburn Foodbank volunteers.
As a single parent of two children I have used the foodbank during lockdown.
The volunteers are really kind and respectful and make you feel extremely welcome.
Each volunteer smiles and
I would like to stay anonymous for this nomination but they all deserve to be thanked by helping and looking after those who need food, toiletries and other supplies the most.
Your kindness will not be forgotten and you are all doing a fantastic job so please keep it up.
