Impersonating an officer: The driver of this BMW was arrested for pretending to be a police officer
LANCASHIRE Police Armed Response Unit alongside Pendle Police today arrested a motorist for impersonating a police officer.
The driver had attached blue strobe lights to the vehicle and had apparently been stopping people in the street pretending to be a police officer.
Officers from both the armed response unit arrested the driver, who was also identified as responsible for other offences.
The person is now in custody and the vehicle has been seized.
