A BURNLEY-based car retailer is offering contactless collection at its branches in England and Wales.
Motorpoint, which is the UK’s largest car retailer with 12 branches, has adapted its vehicle handover to minimise contact at the point of collection in order to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection.
The new click and collect service, which will initially be available Monday to Friday, will enable customers to adhere to the latest social distancing guidelines and choose, buy and drive away without any physical contact with a member of staff.
Motorpoint chief executive Mark Carpenter said: “We’ve been working hard to redesign our processes in order to minimise contact, and with the tools that we have developed to move the whole buying experience online, we firmly believe our contactless collection system means customers can buy their new car from us not only with absolute confidence but also absolute safety.”
Branches will continue to be closed and all handovers will be completed outdoors with staff and customers adhering to social distancing regulations.
