Police believe a Ford transit van that was spotted entering a number of farms across East Lancashire, is connected to recent quad bike thefts.

Several quad bikes have been stolen from villages within the Ribble Valley in the last few days, and police are now asking residents to remain vigilant in regards to suspicious activity.

A police spokesperson said: "A Ford transit has been seen around the West Bradford area over the last few days entering a number of farms acting suspiciously.

"Please can we ask you to remain vigilant and ensure that your property and keys are as secure as possible.

"If you see any suspicious activity please contact us on 999 if an emergency, 101 if non-emergency or alternatively visit Lancashire Constabulary website and report online."
