THE show home on Blackburn’s Green Hills housing estate designed by local design guru Wayne Hemingway is to reopen later this week.

Developer Kingswood Homes is also resuming work on stage two of the 167 property scheme off Livesey Branch Road, Feniscowles.

Phase one, with 61 homes, is complete and the second phase will see a further 53.

The estate was designed by Blackburn-raised Mr Hemingway and his Padiham-born wife Gerardine and uses more than 40 different house types and has two ‘village greens’.

The Green Hills show home will reopen on Friday.

Viewings will be available via five individual hour-long appointments with new safety measures to protect visitors and sales staff.

Kingswood Homes managing director Paul Jones said: “We started to bring construction teams back to sites last week in line with Government advice and are setting new measures in place to enable buyers to feel comfortable looking round our show home.

“Visitors will have to wear gloves and disposable overshoes and the four-bedroom show home and sales centre will be wiped clean and disinfected between appointments.

“Prospective buyers can enjoy a fly-through of the Green Hills' show home online and it is actually a really good way to see just how open and green the development is and how different to most others. But we know viewers are keen to look round the actual properties.”
