A MANHUNT has been launched for a knife thug who raided a Pollok shop.

Police are looking for the robber who threatened a 22-year-old shop worker to steal a three-figure sum of cash from Peter's Store on Househillwood Road on Monday night at around 6.45 pm. 

The masked robber entered the shop before threatening the shopkeeper and leaving with the cash.

Police did not reveal his movements thereafter.

The suspect is described as white, mid to late 40s, and with a Scottish accent. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, dark coloured jeans, black trainers with a white sole, and had his face covered.

Constable Paul Friel of Helen Street Community Investigation Unit, said: “Although the shopkeeper was not injured as a result of this incident, it was a very frightening experience for him.

"I am appealing to anyone who may have been in the area of Househillwood Road shortly before or after incident and may have noticed anyone matching the description to contact police.”
