Police will be stepping up patrols to try and combat cannabis smoking youths during lockdown.
After receiving several complaints from residents about gangs of teenagers congregating at the rear of Priestfield Avenue smoking cannabis, causing a ruckus and dropping their rubbish, officers from Colne's neighbourhood policing team have reassured people living in the area that they'll be increasing their patrols and will follow up on any further reports of anti-social behaviour.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Your local Neighbourhood Policing Team have received several complaints regarding youths congregating at the rear of Priestfield Avenue causing a nuisance, smoking cannabis and leaving litter.
"Patrols will be increased around the area and we will follow up our actions by visiting residents and leaving our details should further incidents be witnessed."
