AN OUTREACH worker who is shielding throughout the pandemic is not letting that stop her from supporting the community.
Clare Screeton, who works for Healthwatch Warrington, has been collecting donations for Warrington Foodbank with her husband.
She is the outreach lead for the independent organisation set up to champion the views of patients and social care service users in Warrington, with the goal of making services better and improving health and wellbeing.
During the Covid-19 lockdown staff have been providing their time to help the community in any way they can.
Clare is currently shielding throughout the pandemic after recovering from Leukaemia in 2018.
She said: "In these difficult times we want to help out with the community - even though I am shielding it doesn’t mean that I am shielded.
"I am doing what I can with the help of my husband’s support we are organising collection of donations from Warrington Freemasons to take to the foodbank.”
The foodbank is currently in need of toiletries, shampoo, conditioners, shower gel, hand soap, shaving foam, toothpaste, disposable razors and washing powder.
Lydia Thompson Healthwatch Warrington, manager added: “We want to remind the community that Healthwatch Warrington are also still providing signposting services and collecting feedback on your health and wellbeing during this time.
"We are also keeping our website up to date on information related to Covid-19 and the community.
"We are currently running a survey to find out the issues residents are facing during these unprecedented times.”
