AN EAST LANCASHIRE solicitors firm has partnered with Age UK Lancashire to provide local people a low cost Will writing service.

Alexander Grace Law is offering basic Wills for up to half price, from which 100 per cent of the money will be donated to the charity which helps older people at a time when they need it most.

Kate Kendall, chartered legal executive at Alexander Grace Law, said: “The coronavirus pandemic has thrown up a number of uncertainties for us all.

“No matter whether we are playing an active part in the national effort to combat it, or simply staying at home to ‘do our bit’, we’re all anxious about what the future holds for ourselves and our loved ones.

“While no one wants to be reminded of their mortality, the current situation is having that effect for many of us. In these uncertain times it’s important to have some kind of certainty. One way of achieving this is to make sure you have a Will in place.”

Eligible for anyone over the age of 50, people are asked to contact Age UK Lancashire in the first instance to then be referred to Alexander Grace Law.

David Ward, of Age UK Lancashire, said: “We’re really grateful to Alexander Grace Law for supporting our charity with their generous donation and support for our many clients.

“We are here, ready to signpost people to their services as soon as they get in touch.”

Ms Kendall added: “In normal circumstances we would love to meet up with people in their office or at their home to have a chat about their needs.

“The Covid-19 social distancing rules mean that we can’t do that, but there are other ways that we can take instructions, such as telephone or video conferencing.”
