The death toll for coronavirus patients in Wirral hospitals has not increased for the second day running, NHS Enlgand has confirmed.

With no recorded fatalities for the past two days, the number of people who have died with the virus in Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge Hospitals remains at 193.

Current figures also show that no Covid-19 deaths have occurred at Wirral University Teaching Hospital (WUTH) for the past three days.

A further 186 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 24,345.

Patients were aged between 15 and 99 years old.  10 of the 186 patients (aged between 30 and 94 years old) had no known underlying health condition.  

Their families have been informed.
