Fashion student Lareb Syed Nadeem is aiming for university after she finishes studying at Blackburn College.
Lareb, 19, was born and raised in Italy but moved to Burnley in July 2016. She wanted to move to the UK for better education opportunities.
Lareb had passion for fashion before leaving Italy. When she arrived in Burnley, she decided to apply for the Textiles, Fashion and Design (UAL) Level 3 Extended Diploma at Blackburn College.
After she finishes at the College, she is aiming to use her refined skills to pursue a fashion pathway at university.
She said: “It was challenging when I first moved to the UK, but I have found that studying in further education has given me more opportunities to explore a broader range of materials, methods and techniques.
“Blackburn College has allowed me to develop my creative skills in-depth, but, most importantly, I have gained knowledge and the ability to use research to support my ideas and concepts.
“I enjoy translating information and visual language through the use of techniques and processes to communicate meaning and experiment with purpose independently.”
