A LANCASHIRE legal firm is offering consultations over Skype, as the Law Society reports that demand for wills has increased by at least 30 per cent since the coronavirus lockdown began.
With social distancing and self-isolation posing practical problems and limitations in the preparation and execution of wills, Forbes Solicitors – which has offices in Blackburn – said it is turning to technology to cope with the demand.
Jane Burbidge, from Forbes, said: “During lockdown, we are offering initial consultations by telephone or video conference via Skype, Facetime etc to discuss the best type of will for clients' circumstances and what should be included. We are sending the will out to clients with clear written instructions on how to have it signed and witnessed correctly.
