YOUNG patients in Queen’s Park Hospital, Blackburn, were in for a real treat at mealtimes back in 2003.
For they could look forward to their food arriving on Thomas the Tank Engine.
The specially-designed mobile kitchen was made to look like the popular book character and even had an onboard oven to keep the food piping hot.
Bryan Oates, the head chef at Queen’s Park, is pictured with Thomas in the hospital restaurant where the new arrival was proving to be a popular attraction.
