MAGISTRATES have jailed a man for 12 weeks after he admitted assaulting a woman on March 9.
At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Michael Dougan, aged 53, of Cross Lane, Radcliffe, had denied committing the offence in Radcliffe, but then changed his plea. The court heard that he has similar previous convictions.
He was also ordered to pay £207 in costs and charges plus £100 in compensation to the woman and a restraining order was made banning him from contacting her or going to her address in Cross Lane, Radcliffe.
