A COUNCIL has sent out more than 40,000 postcards to tell households what services can support them through the coronavirus pandemic.
Every home in Pendle will receive the message promoting the borough’s Community Support Hub – crucial for vulnerable residents who don’t have any family or friends nearby.
Around 41,500 postcards are dropping through letterboxes highlighting how the service can help during the coronavirus outbreak
The hub is run by Pendle Council in partnership with Pendle Leisure Trust and supported by Burnley and Pendle Community and Voluntary Service and other organisations.
Council leader Cllr Mohammed Iqbal, leader of the council, said: “Together we’re helping vulnerable residents to make sure that they are not isolated and can access what they need.”
So far the hub has helped 710 people.
