A man wanted by police for several burglaries across East Lancashire has appeared in court.
On Thursday, Jonathon Cooke, of no fixed abode, appeared at Burnley Magistrates Court and pleaded not guilty to two counts of burglary, one of which allegedly took place in Church and one in Burnley.
He has now been recalled to prison awaiting trial.
A spokesperson for the police said: "On Wednesday afternoon a male was arrested in Church after he was recognised by a member of the public.
"The male in question was wanted for burglary offences in Church and also Burnley.
"He was interviewed by officers late into Wednesday night and was charged with two offences of house burglary.
"Jonathon Cooke, of no fixed abode, appeared at court on Thursday and has been recalled to prison awaiting trial.
"In the last six days, four people from the Hyndburn area have been arrested, charged and imprisoned."
