BLACKBURN with Darwen Council is to bring in six new parking restrictions.

It plans to introduce double yellow lines on Bolton Road Edgworth at its junction with Moorfield, Edgworth to prevent vehicles being parked there and to ensure that drivers have clear sightlines and do the same at the entrance of the Barlow Institute.

In Back Montague Street, Blackburn, it seeks to ban the waiting of vehicles so refuse collection vehicles can access bins.

On Atlas Road, Darwen, it proposes to extend the existing double yellow lines on the South-East side opposite a tyre fitting business.

On Kay Street, Darwen, the council plans to extend the double yellow lines on both sides of Kay Street to allow two-way traffic to flow smoothly and allow recycling collection vehicles access to the alleyway without obstruction.

On Duttons Way, Blackburn, it will extend the existing double yellow lines from the junction of Lions Drive for 90 metres.
