POETRY fans are being asked to read aloud their favourite Wordsworth works to mark the 250th anniversary his birth.
As celebrations of the anniversary have been cancelled, fans of the Lake District writer are being asked to honour his work from their own homes.
Members of the Wordsworth family are starting the audio celebrations with their own readings and others are being encouraged to do the same.
Members of the public can submit their recordings directly to wordsworth250@gmail.com. These can be audio or video and can be taken on a mobile phone.
If the files are large they can be transferred using We Transfer or similar.
William Wordsworth was born on April 7, 1770.
Notable works by the poet include The Prelude and Daffodils.
He died at his home in Rydal Mount in 1850
Recordings will be available to listen to at wordsworth250.com.
